To change the welcome screen image in Windows 7, you must:
1) Open the registry editor, to do this, click the “Start” menu and in the “Run” line we write “regedit” and press the “Enter” key.
2) In the registry editor that opens, right-click on the “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE” line, select “Find” and in the search bar type “OEMBackground”, click “Find Next”.
3) Double-click the left mouse button on the value, the “DWORD” window will appear, in which you need to change the value to 1 and click “OK”.
4) Open the folder “C:\Windows\System32\Oobe”, in it create the folder “info”, open it, create in it the folder “background” and place in it a picture with jpg extension and name “backgroundDefault.jpg”, size which should not exceed 256 Kb.
5) Restart the computer.
When loading, a new image should be displayed.
It is also worth remembering that if the registry is incorrectly edited, the system may not work correctly or stop working.
