How to disable TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 in cPanel & WHM

In this article I will give an example of disabling legacy protocols in cPanel & WHM.

In the WHM, open the menu “Service Configuration” – “Apache Configuration” – “Global Configuration”.

In my case, for “SSL/TLS Protocols:” it was manually specified “All -SSLv2 -SSLv3”, and above it was suggested by default to select “TLSv1.2 (default)”, it was the cPanel & WHM v84.0.21 version that I and did by selecting the default value.

Then at the bottom of the page I clicked “Save” and in the next window I clicked “Rebuild Configuration and Restart Apache”.

After that, a new configuration file /etc/apache2/conf/httpd.conf was generated and Apache restarted.
On the site https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/ you can check if the TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 protocols are disabled, as well as see other security recommendations.
