Port forwarding on Ubiquiti (UBNT) devices

Since the settings are almost the same on airMAX® M Series Ubiquiti devices, this instruction will work with Rocket, NanoBridge, LiteBeam, NanoBeam, airGrid, etc.

It is advisable to update the firmware to a new one, since on older firmware some functions may not be available.

Suppose we configured the device as a router or SOHO Router.

Go to its web-interface, open the tab “Network”, where “Configuration Mode:” select “Advanced” to display more settings.

Suppose we also connect, for example, an IP camera and it receives an IP address via DHCP or, for example, manually assigned it an IP address 192.168.250.30

Now in the “DHCP Address Reservation” we reserve 192.168.250.30 so that the Ubiquiti device does not give it to someone else and the IP address conflict does not work. To do this, select “LAN0” in the “Interface”, specify the MAC address of the IP camera in the “MAC Address” (if it receives an IP address via DHCP, if it is manually registered, then you can write at random if you do not know it) in “IP Address “- itself 192.168.250.30.

Let’s start port forwarding. In the “Port Forward” point, we specify “Interface” – WLAN0, “Private IP” – the address of the IP camera 192.168.250.30, “Port” – 80 (to access the web-interface of the camera), “Type” – TCP (port 80 is working on TCP), “Source IP / Mask” – leave 0.0.0.0/0, “Public IP / Mask” – leave 0.0.0.0/0 too, “Port” – specify the port that will be visible from the outside (which will be forwarded ), for example 8080 or 81, etc., 80 is not specified as it is already occupied by the device’s Ubiquiti web interface.
Click “Add”, then at the bottom “Change” and at the very top of “Apply” to apply the settings.

Done, now typing from outside the IP address of the Ubiquiti device and through the colon port 8080 (for example 192.168.10.210:8080) the web-interface of the camera will open.
