Cleaning the chamber of the FireProtect Plus Ajax sensor

Once it was necessary to clean the smoke chamber of the Ajax FireProtect Plus sensor, as a dust alarm was triggered (an audible signal was periodically emitted from the sensor itself and a notification in the application).

First of all, I looked at the support.ajax.systems/ru/how-to-clean-fireprotect instructions, took out the smoke chamber, cleaned it and washed it with running water under the tap, then put it on the battery, where it dried fairly quickly, after installing it back into sensor, it continued to notify of dust, although the smoke chamber was clean …

First of all, I looked at the support.ajax.systems/ru/how-to-clean-fireprotect instructions, took out the smoke chamber, cleaned it and washed it with running water under the tap, then put it on the heating battery, where it dried fairly quickly, after installing it back into sensor, it continued to notify of dust, although the smoke chamber was clean …

Most likely, the dust notification did not disappear because I forgot to perform a sensor test by pressing the touch button on the logo, after which the test is performed. But after disassembling the sensor a second time, I also found a lot of dust on the protective panel, just in places near the smoke chamber, as seen in the photo:

After I cleaned this dust, assembled the sensor and performed the test by holding the touch button on the sensor logo for 6 seconds, the siren test signal worked and the dusting message disappeared. So do not forget to clean the dust on the protective panel and do a sensor test and everything will be fine!
