I’ll describe the process of connecting a WiFi logger to the Internet.
If the logger is new, then naturally it does not know the password to your WiFi router.
First, connect your phone or any device to the WiFi broadcasted by the logger itself, typically named AP_x, Deye_x, WiFi-Logger_x, etc.
The default password is 12345678 or the one printed on the logger’s sticker.
Once connected, open 10.10.100.254 or 192.168.4.1 in your browser, or whichever is specified as the gateway in your WiFi connection. The username and password are admin / admin or admin / 1234.
Next, select QuickSet on the left for quick setup and click Search to search for available WiFi networks. Select your home WiFi router, enter its password and click Save.
After this, the logger will connect to your WiFi router and the server. All three indicators on the logger (NET and COM) will be green, and the Ready indicator will be blinking.
All that’s left to do is open the Deye Cloud or Solarman website in your browser or install the app, register with your email address and password, and then create a new installation in your account. Add the WiFi logger using its serial number. You may need to enter the password from the sticker on the logger. You’ll see your statistics in about 10 minutes.
If the WiFi logger was initially added to the equipment installer account, not yours, and someone shared access to it with you, you can re-register it. To do this, email deye support so they can remove the link. A WiFi logger can only be linked to one account (you can share access with others). Support will respond within a week. Once removed, everyone will lose access to it. You can add it to your account and share or remove access with other users if desired.
If necessary, you can also contact Dey’s support team to update the firmware on your inverter, your WiFi logger, and your batteries’ BMS, they will do this remotely via the internet. It’s worth considering that a restart of the inverter may be necessary. You can also notify us of this so that the update can be performed at a time convenient for you and outside of working hours.
