I will describe the necessary steps to be performed to update the firmware of the NETGEAR DGN1000:
1) Download the new firmware from the official website:
https://www.netgear.ru/support/product/DGN1000.aspx#download
2) Let’s open the modem’s settings by typing the address in the browser, for example, http://192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 and enter the username/password (standard admin/password).
3) In the interface that opens, open “Maintenance” – “Router Status” and see the current version of the firmware, if it is older than the downloaded one, then go to “Maintenance” – “Router Upgrade”. On the page that opens, click “Browse”, select the previously downloaded new firmware file, and then click “Upload” to start the update process.
Wait for the update to complete, usually 2-5 minutes.
At the end, the device will reboot.
