Solution of the iLO error “HTTP SSL_ERROR_BAD_MAC_ALERT”

I noticed the following error when opening the iLO web interface in the browser:

Error establishing secure connection
An error occurred while connecting to 172.16.1.2. The SSL node reported an incorrect message authentication code. Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_MAC_ALERT
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

A temporary solution to this error may be unchecking the opposite “Use TLS 1.2” in Control Panel – Network and Internet – Internet Options – tab “Advanced“.
After that, the page should open in Internet Explorer or Edge.

The second best solution to this problem is to upgrade the firmware version of iLO.
