To update the firmware of the D-Link DSL-524T modem, perform the following necessary steps:
1) Download the new firmware from the official website
http://ftp.dlink.ru/pub/ADSL/DSL-524T/Firmware/ADSL2_plus/
2) Let’s open the modem settings by typing in the browser the address http://192.168.1.1 (maybe 192.168.0.1) and enter the standard login – admin, password – admin.
3) In the interface that opens, open the “Tools” tab at the top, select “Firmware” on the left of the menu. On the page that opens, the current version of the firmware will be displayed, if it is older than the downloaded one, then click “Browse” and select the previously downloaded new firmware file, then click “Apply” to start the update process.
Wait for the update to complete, usually 2-5 minutes. At the end, the modem will reboot.
