BIOS update on the HP ProLiant DL180 G6 server

First you need to download the latest BIOS firmware from the official site support.hpe.com, in the search we will indicate “HPE ProLiant DL180 G6 Server”.

Clicking on the link, you must specify the language and version of the operating system, which in our case makes no difference.
After that a list of files will appear, where you need to select “BIOS (Entitlement Required) – System ROM ” and click “Download” in front of the newest firmware file.
Registration is not required for download.

Run the downloaded file, it will extract the necessary files to drive C. In the unpacked directory there will be a utility for creating a USB flash drive to update the BIOS firmware.
Run the utility, specify the letter of the connected USB drive and click the “Start” button.

When the process is complete, connect the USB flash drive to the HP ProLiant DL180 G6 server, boot up from it and follow the instructions.
