Installing the Let’s Encrypt plugin in cPanel & WHM

In this article I will give an example of installing the Let’s Encrypt plugin in cPanel (WHM).
Let’s Encrypt allows you to install free three-month certificates for domains and automatically renew them.

To install the Let’s Encrypt plugin in cPanel, execute the following command in the terminal:

/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/install_lets_encrypt_autossl_provider

If you need to remove it, then run:

/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/uninstall_lets_encrypt_autossl_provider

After installing the plug-in, you need to activate it. To do this, open the WHM panel, select “SSL/TLS” – “AutoSSL Management” in the menu, below where “AutoSSL Providers” select “Let’s Encrypt” and click “Save”.

I note that in cPanel by default there is a similar script from cPanel and in the “AutoSSL Control” menu it is called “cPanel (provided by Comodo.)” And you may not need to install the Let’s Encrypt plugin.
