Resolving a program startup error due to the absence of MSVCR100.dll

I noticed after installing and starting the game Grand Theft Auto V and Counter-Strike Source the following error:

Launcher.exe – System Error
“The program can’t start because MSVCR100.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.”

The game was installed on Windows 8.1 x64 and Windows 7 x64.

The solution to the launch problem was to install Microsoft Visual C ++ 2010.

You can download and install it using the links:

x64, for 64-bit operating systems:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=14632

x86, for 32-bit operating systems:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555

If the installation of Microsoft Visual C ++ 2010 x64 does not help, then the x86 version also needs to be installed, it depends on which platform the x64 or x86 game is developed for, regardless of which Windows you have.

That’s all, the error no longer appeared.
