I will give an example of commands for testing a cable on Huawei Quidway S2300 switches.
Let’s connect to the switch and go to the system environment from the user environment:
system-view
Select the required interface (port):
interface Ethernet0/0/21
Run the cable test command:
virtual-cable-test
For example, I displayed that while testing the cable, the service on the port would be suspended and then the test result was displayed:
Warning: The command will stop service for a while, continue [Y/N]?Y
Pair A length: 42meter(s)
Pair B length: 42meter(s)
Pair A state: Ok
Pair B state: Ok
