P71 BIOS Update on HP ProLiant DL360p Gen8

For example, let’s take an HP ProLiant DL360p Gen8 server with BIOS version P71 07/01/2015.

Download the archive with the firmware file from the official website:

At the time of this writing, I found version 2019.05.24(A)(28 jun 2019), I also saved it here:

I will update the BIOS via the iLO web interface, enter the login and password (usually they are written on a sticker on the front panel of the server),
select “Administration” – “Firmware” in the menu, at the bottom of the page, opposite to “File:”, select the downloaded file (in my case it was CPQP7113.6B8) and click “Upload” to start the update process.

During the update process, you cannot turn off the power to the server, when the process is completed, you can restart the server to start the new BIOS.
