PING does not work on Windows

Once I noticed that when I try to execute the ping command, a message appears on the Windows command line:

“ping” is not recognized as an internal or external command operable program or batch file

However, if you go to the C:\WINDOWS\system32\ directory, the command is executed. Hence the conclusion that there is a problem with the “Path” system variable, you can change it by opening “System Properties” – “Advanced” – “Environment Variables” and there is “Path” in the “System Variables”. Its contents most likely changed, deteriorated or was replaced after installing some kind of program, in my case QuickTime created the problem!

The standard contents of the Path variable are:

%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\system32\WBEM

After the changes, you can restart the computer.
